Meet Our Pastor

Dr. Brad WhittA native of Milan, Tennessee, Pastor Brad came to Abilene in May of 2012. He earned a Doctor of Ministry in Expository Preaching from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina. He is married to the former Kim Robinson, also of Milan. They have three children.

Join Us for Worship

Join us for worship services at 10:30 a.m., and 6:30 p.m. each Sunday and 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. You may also contact us by email at abc@myabilene.org or call the church office at 706-869-1774. Our office hours are Monday thru Thursday, 9 am-5 pm & Friday from 9 am-12 noon.

Our Heritage

Abilene Baptist Church is one of Georgia’s most historic churches. It was founded in 1774 by Daniel Marshal making it the second oldest Baptist church in the state. It was originally known as Red’s (pronounced Reed) Creek Baptist Church. The first Pastor was Rev. Loveless Savage and he served the church from its founding in 1774 to 1791.
